Avnera Fellow, RF/Analog Architecture
Fred Weiss is an Avnera Fellow and manages Analog/RF architecture. He has over 25 years of experience in the RF/Analog design. 

Prior to Avnera, Fred worked for Tektronix Laboratories, TriQuint Semiconductor and Analog Devices where he designed high speed data conversion, RF, synthesizer, and RF power control products in Bipolar, CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, and GaAs MESFET IC process technologies. He was the principal designer of the TriQuint GigaDACÔ product line of gigasample/second 8- and 14-bit DACs for video and signal synthesis applications. He is the author or co-author of 8 patents and16 conference papers. 

Fred holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Washington (Seattle), and MSEE and PhD degrees in Electronic Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. Fred has been an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University, and is honored to be able to periodically teach circuit design courses as a Visiting Professor at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria.
